Our Mission Statement

Uniting Ultrasound Experts working on the Human Brain

Understanding the human brain in health and in disease is a joint goal of fundamental neuroscience and clinical practice. With the advent of advanced ultrasound neuro-imaging and neuromodulation techniques, these same questions have also become the domain of (ultrasound) engineers and physicists.

Our symposium is the world’s first bringing together neuroscientists, clinicians, engineers and physicists around the topic of ultrasound and the human brain.

Our Motto

πάντα ῥεῖ

πάντα ῥεῖ or Panta Rei, is a statement in ancient Greek attributed to the philosopher Heraclites. The statement means ‘Everything Flows’. It is the motto of our symposium as it represents the many aspects of ultrasound brain imaging and neuromodulation combined in our programme!
